Editorial charter
Method
How Aube Géopolitique produces its files, analyses and briefings. Document updated on 7 May 2026.
1. Three principles
- Facts before analysis. A country file reads in 30 seconds; an institute note in 5 minutes.
- Named sources. No claim without a traceable citation chain.
- Editorial voice. We write the way one keeps a logbook: dated, signed, revisable.
2. Data architecture
Each country file stacks 33 distinct blocks from 33 open sources. Three layers:
- Layer 1 — mass. Wikidata · REST Countries · Natural Earth · World Bank · USGS · OEC · UNHCR. Auto-covers the 250 countries.
- Layer 2 — institute. Curated by our team: sanctions OFAC/EU/UN, V-Dem/FH/CPI/RSF indices, USGS minerals, SIPRI capabilities, Voeten UN alignment, UNTC treaties, IFES electoral calendar, bilateral visits, disputed recognitions, official doctrines.
- Layer 3 — analysis. Institute composite score (5 axes), signed analytical reading, citable PDF briefings, 72-hour GDELT feed.
